This is the most prestigious affiliate prize in the industry and a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Once there, U.S. affiliates will join their English, French and German counterparts and meet crew members of United Internet Team Germany. This is Germany’s first entrance in this race.

One lucky affiliate will be chosen as the “18th man” and will be allowed to sit on the 1&1 boat during this qualifying race. Racing tradition states that every competing boat must carry 100 kilograms (220 lbs.) or an 18th man that is not part of the crew.
