Build A Career On The Web

2014-09-02by Heather Legg

Technology is the place to be.

Earning a degree in one of the technology fields sets you off on a great career path, and these days, you can even earn that degree online. Not only can you get your degree online, you can even build your career on the web.

If you can master the web and be a successful website designer, you'll have a golden ticket. Not everyone can do this, but now everyone wants a great website.

It's not enough anymore to have a single page website. You've got to have a compelling, interactive and easy to navigate site, where customers and clients will return time after time.

Often, a bad website is worse than no website at all, so if business owners or entrepreneurs need a site and can't build it themselves, they're going to have to look for someone who can. That someone can be you.

There's not just one degree that will teach the ins and outs of web design, you can major in a few engineering/technology fields and learn about design.

If you are looking to learn online, you've got some options.

As the following article shows, “Check out these 3 technology degrees you can earn online”….

  • Information Technology (IT) - The field of IT is huge and in demand. If you're looking for expertise in the world of computer design and about the implementation and administration of computer information solutions, this could be your field. The creation of websites is part of this field's knowledge base among many other aspects of computers, including network architectures and database systems.
  • Computer Science - With this degree, you will have no worries finding a successful position in this highly demanded field. Working with both hardware and software, you'll be well versed in web design and computer programming. Anyone looking to work in the fields of programming, computer architecture or software design should think about this degree.
  • Computer Engineering - Similar to computer science, you will be adept at designing and implementing both computer hardware and software and will know the ins and outs of web design.

Whether you are looking to take all of your classes online or just some of them, you should be able to find these degrees available to you.

These days, an online degree has just as much credibility as a traditional one, especially from an accredited, brick and mortar university or college.

Online is a viable option for those who can't commit to attending set classes due to time or financial constraints.

However, you've got to be motivated and organized; you're a bit more on your own here.

But just because you can't get to class, doesn't mean you can't earn a degree.
