09:40:26 - 30 July 2008

Europe's Leading Wholesale IP-MPLS Provider to Expand and Enhance Network at Equinix Datacentres

Cagliari and Foster City, CA - July, 30, 2008 -- Tiscali International Network (TINet), the world's only carrier exclusively dedicated to the wholesale IP-MPLS market, and Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading global provider of network-neutral datacentres and Internet exchange services, today announced that TINet has selected Equinix as a strategic partner for the expansion of the carrier's European network initially from Equinix's Frankfurt and Paris Internet Business Exchange (IBX(r)) datacentres.

TINet offers IP Transit, MPLS lines and long distance Ethernet services to major service providers in North America, Hong Kong, Singapore and across Europe. TINet has an extensive network of close to 100 IP/MPLS PoPs and prides itself on being a specialist providing exclusively wholesale services to service and content providers worldwide. It is also one of the few companies in Europe to have a "next generation Internet" network in actual production.

"We have partnered with Equinix in Europe because of the high quality and reliability of their IBX datacentres as well as for the opportunities Equinix offers to interconnect with important players and key customers across the world, providing TINet with an opportunity to expand our global network while enhancing reliability and performance and reducing overall costs," said Paolo Gambini, Sales and Marketing Director at TINet. "To strengthen our presence in the European datacentre facilities of Equinix is part of our expansion plans of TINet footprint worldwide."

"Equinix is pleased to have TINet join our network partners, providing access to Europe's important expanding markets," comments Michael Winterson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Equinix Europe.

"They bring comprehensive Internet network expertise and a recognised reputation, providing high performance network services to the customers and partners in Equinix's European datacentre network. We look forward to working together and assisting them in meeting their European growth targets."

The partnership with Equinix follows TINet's expansion into additional markets in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, where TINet has recently opened PoPs in Toronto and Marseille.
