ProactiveNet Integrates Enterprise Adapters™ for NetIQ, IBM Tivoli and Gomez

00:00:00 - 21 September 2004

September 21, 2004 - (HostReview.com) - ProactiveNet, Inc. (www.proactivenet.com) the technology leader in real-time application, SLA, and infrastructure performance analytics, today announced that it has extended the measurement and analysis capabilities of its flagship application performance analysis software. ProactiveNet 6.0, which was announced earlier this year, has been enhanced with new Enterprise Adapters that integrate application, system and Web services data gathered from NetIQ AppManager, IBM Tivoli and Gomez Performance Network (GPN) service.

"Today's Global 2000 organizations are being buried by the onslaught of data that various IT operations management systems are capable of producing," said Cameron Haight, Research Vice President, Enterprise Systems Management, Gartner Inc. "Organizations need to begin looking for tools that can go beyond merely reporting metrics or events and instead that can turn this raw data into concise, contextual and actionable information."

In addition to its Enterprise Adapters, ProactiveNet now integrates with HP Openview Network Node Manager console. The integration can be configured so that ProactiveNet alarms can be viewed from whichever machine is hosting HP Openview. Also with this update, ProactiveNet 6.0's monitoring capabilities have been enhanced to include Oracle 10g, Linux Advanced Server 3.0, AIX 64-bit kernel and SuSE Linux 8.1 and 9.0.

The IBM Tivoli adapter is designed for organizations using Tivoli Management Framework 4.1 with IBM Tivoli Monitoring 5.1.1 fix pack 05. Like the NetIQ adapter, ProactiveNet's IBM Tivoli adapters enable IT organizations to leverage their current IBM systems management and monitoring investments.

ProactiveNet's Gomez adapter taps into the Gomez Performance Network service, which monitors from behind the firewall, the Internet's backbone and end-user PCs. ProactiveNet's real-time data correlation and analysis capabilities utilizes the Gomez data to let IT operations groups quickly identify and resolve Internet application slowdowns, whether the problems originates from inside or outside the firewall.

ProactiveNet 6.0 is now available. Pricing typically starts at $35,000 and scales based on the type and number of entities monitored. The SLA Performance Views module is priced and licensed separately at $10,000 per application, including the ability to define 20 SLAs per application. Quantity discounts apply for multiple applications and additional SLA purchases. Adapters for CA, BMC, IBM Tivoli and NetIQ are priced at $600 each. Adapters for Gomez are priced at $5,000 for an unlimited license.

Customers include leading enterprises such as E*TRADE FINANCIAL, Ford, Hoover's Online, McKesson and Walmart.com. ProactiveNet has established strategic partnerships with BEA Systems, Computer Associates, IBM/ Rational Software, Keynote Systems, and Sun Microsystems.
