MINNEAPOLIS, September 15, 2004 -- Digital River, Inc. , a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced that it is working with Freeze.com, one of the Internet's most popular screen enhancement sites, to expand its online product offering. Based on an agreement, Freeze.com added Digital River's third-party catalog of try-before-you-buy (TBYB) titles to its existing collection of screen savers, clip art and images. As a result, Digital River's catalog of trial versions is now available for download via Freeze.com's new online specialty store located on http://my.freeze.com.

"As more software consumers gain confidence in the Internet and opt for its shopping conveniences, online merchants are looking for low-risk, cost-effective alternatives to expand their businesses," said Dave Alampi, Digital River's, vice president of marketing. "Digital River's online sales network offers an easy-to-implement solution to meet their needs. By participating in our e-commerce network, online merchants can quickly gain access to an extensive sales channel of software publishers, online retailers, portals and content sites."

Shoppers on http://my.freeze.com can enter Freeze.com's new TBYB software site by clicking on "Free Trial Software." Once in the online store, shoppers are invited to download titles from Digital River's trialware catalog and try them for a limited time before making a purchase decision. The collection of TBYB titles includes computer utilities, games, and business, graphic and Internet applications from large and small publishers.

Digital River hosts and manages Freeze.com's TBYB site. To create a seamless shopping experience for consumers, Digital River is handling payment processing, fraud, customer service, reporting and digital downloads.

"Digital River's e-commerce sales network and end-to-end infrastructure provided a perfect match for our suite of online products and our customers' appetite for software," said Robert Weber, Freeze.com's president. "As a result of our relationship with Digital River, we can reach more consumers with more products. We are pleased to be partnering with an organization that has become such a major player in helping companies build online businesses."
