Equinix Provides Data Center to Patagonia

September 13, 2004 - (HostReview.com) - Equinix, Inc., the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, today announced that Patagonia, Inc., the outdoor gear and apparel company, will locate the infrastructure supporting e-commerce operations for the company's Web site at an Equinix Internet Business Exchange™ (IBX®) center in Los Angeles.

Patagonia designs, markets and distributes outdoor clothing, gear, accessories and luggage under the Patagonia, Lotus Designs and Water Girl brands. The company's merchandise is available through specialty retailers and Patagonia stores, as well as through the company's catalog and Web site (www.patagonia.com).

At Equinix's Los Angeles Internet hub, Patagonia will have direct access to every top network, offering the widest possible choice of connectivity services and providers. By operating within the same physical space as many of these strategic connectivity partners, Patagonia can implement a more streamlined path between their Web site content and e-commerce operations and their end-users, resulting in higher performance and reliability.
