T-Systems Acquires Equinix Data Center

September 8, 2004 - (HostReview.com) - International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS), the carriers' carrier division of T-Systems, and Equinix, Inc. the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, today announced that T-Systems has increased its network reach by acquiring a presence in four additional Equinix Internet Business Exchange™ (IBX®) centers in the United States.

Already present in Equinix's Washington, D.C. center, T-Systems has chosen to expand into four additional Equinix facilities located in the Chicago, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and Dallas areas."

Through this expanded deployment within Equinix centers throughout the U.S., T-Systems will be able to offer its Layer 2 transport solutions to additional carriers across the globe. European carriers will be able to connect via T-Systems new MPLS based Ethernet service at the IBX centers to set up their own peering connections with all of the major networks available at Equinix.
