ECCO USA Selects PixelMEDIA for eCommerce Solution

Portsmouth, NH - August 2004 - PixelMEDIA, Inc., a full service company offering integrated strategy, design and implementation services for Web, multimedia and IT initiatives, today announced it has developed a fully customized eCommerce solution for ECCO USA, the US branch of the seventh largest shoe brand in the world. Leveraging .NET and MS SQL Server, PixelMEDIA developed a flexible and scalable solution that ties into real time backend inventory systems to meet the growing demands of ECCO and its US customer base.

Prior to selecting PixelMEDIA, ECCO utilized an off-the-shelf eCommerce solution to develop an initial proof of concept store. PixelMEDIA worked closely with ECCO USA's marketing, IT, and operations teams to generate a prioritized three phase plan balancing a robust feature set with rapid time to market. This approach allowed the core site to be launched quickly and begin generating a return while feature and functionality enhancements are layered in over time.

In order to fulfill ECCO's short and long-term business objectives, PixelMEDIA designed and developed a fully customizable and secure enterprise class commerce solution that features an elegantly branded Web interface, full product line catalog, and a robust shopping cart. This custom solution was developed on the scaleable Microsoft .NET platform. Utilizing real-time SAP integration, ECCO's e-commerce site now offers two-way inventory feeds, integration with its order management system for fulfillment, and automatically updates online order status. A complete administrative toolset provides product updates, coupon fulfillment, order and inventory management, cross selling opportunities and more.
