SingleHop celebrates record 673% growth during 2008 by offering massive specials to first 673 customers

06:19:06 - 18 February 2009

Chicago, IL: February 18, 2009:  Chicago-based managed web hosting provider, SingleHop, Inc., announced that it will be upgrading RAM from 2GB to 6GB & 8GB on the popular E8400 & E5200-series servers, while reducing the price to the first 673 customers in celebration of outstanding 673% growth in 2008.  SingleHop grew in all areas over 2008, and achieved profitability, making it one of the fastest growing startups in Chicago, and the fastest growing web hosting firm in Illinois.

“We have been in the business of paying it forward since we founded SingleHop in 2006 and this is a celebration of the success of that formula.  Our customers are our biggest assets, and we want them to share in our profits.  As we continue to grow like this we’ll continue to put these offers into the marketplace.  Look for them,” says Zak Boca, President and CEO of SingleHop.

SingleHop’s 673% growth rate can be attributed to investments made in automated systems, power-efficient servers (which have reduced energy costs) and naturally occurring organic growth.

“We are going to move forward with additional investments in our development and our customer service departments to make our user’s experiences even better.  We intend to set an industry standard across the board for service and technology in 2009,” adds Dan Ushman, Vice President of marketing for SingleHop.

SingleHop was founded by Chicago-entrepreneurs Dan Ushman and Zak Boca. In 2003 the two serial entrepreneurs founded midPhase Services, Inc., a shared hosting company. The company grew to host over 160,000 clients around the world and became one of the fastest growing hosting companies in the industry. midPhase was acquired by London-based UK2 Group in December 2007.
