Cbeyond Employees Nationwide Engage in Half-day of Community Service

Cbeyond®, Inc., a leading IP-based managed services provider to small businesses, announces its quarterly, nationwide half-day of service. The event will allow nearly 300 employees in eight major metropolitan markets to donate more than 1,100 hours of community service on August 1 and August 2, 2007. To connect its employees with worthy causes, Cbeyond partners with the Hands On Network and its affiliates in each of its markets to coordinate volunteer projects. Cbeyond's half-day of service will support an array of causes and organizations. Some projects will focus on ensuring green space is kept clean and beautiful; others on working with organizations that help children and those with mental disabilities.

This is the sixth half-day of service coordinated through the Cbeyond Community Connections(TM) program. The program is a Cbeyond employee volunteer service and networking initiative core to the company's culture. Cbeyond Community Connections makes a difference in the lives of Cbeyond employees and in the communities Cbeyond calls home by following the program's tenets to "connect, serve and grow." During the half-day of service, teams of Cbeyond employees will participate in a half-day volunteer event coordinated by Hands On Network's affiliates in each of the company's eight markets. On these dates, Cbeyond employees will work with the following Hands On Network affiliates and non-profit organizations:

* Atlanta: Chastain Park Conservancy - Aug. 1

* Chicago: Imagine Englewood if - Aug. 2

* Dallas: Sequoia, Inc. - Aug. 1

* Denver: Denver Urban Gardens - Aug. 1

* Detroit: Vista Maria - Aug. 1

* Houston: Nature Discovery Center - Aug. 1

* Los Angeles: Los Angeles River Center and Gardens - Aug. 1

* San Diego: Del Mar Beach Clean Up - Aug. 1

Illustrating the company's commitment to service and civic participation, earlier this year Cbeyond was awarded the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award. The award recognizes individuals, families and groups that have completed laudable volunteer efforts, measured by the number of hours served over a 12 month period. During 2006, Cbeyond contributed 4,474 hours of corporate volunteerism.
