07:13:52 - 31 October 2006

Canadian Web Hosting has completed implementation of Barracuda Network’s Spam Firewall to scan all inbound and outbound emails. Installation started in late September and has taken just over one month to complete. All customers on the shared hosting plans will be automatically added to the email spam firewall free of charge.

Canadian Web Hosting is now processing more than 1,00,000 emails each day, blocking up to 95% of the messages as spam per day. The Barracuda Spam Firewall provides comprehensive protection against the most current email-borne threats, including:

•     Anti-spam
•     Anti-virus
•     Anti-spoofing
•     Anti-phishing
•     Anti-spyware (Attachments)
•     Denial of Service

"Our customers are very happy with this service," said Alex Zarud, Senior Systems Administrator for Canadian Web Hosting. "They don't need to worry about getting spam in their inbox anymore. This saves time and money for our customers as well as our company. We reduce the number of support calls regarding spam problems. Spam Firewall also provides us with a way to find email issues. Its extensive log allows us to follow routing paths and find out the cause of email problems on the network."

Zarud is confident Canadian Web Hosting chose wisely when choosing Spam Firewall.

"Our company has definitely made the right choice in selecting this product as it is easily scalable to our growing needs," he said
