Quality Technology Services (QualityTech), one of the nation’s largest privately held providers of data center facilities and managed services, announced it has entered into an agreement to purchase Globix Hosting LLC, a subsidiary of Globix Corporation (Amex: GEX). The purchase adds New York and California to the existing QualityTech locations for a total of 1.5 million square feet in data center facilities.

In addition to the Globix Hosting, LLC acquisition, today QualityTech announced the addition of a 960,000 sq ft facility in Atlanta and will announce a New York area facility in the next week. “The demand for high-density data center facilities and managed services continues to grow and these announcements position us well to be able to serve these needs,” Waddington added.
