1Vault Networks of Fort Lauderdale Signs Agreement With TelCove for Transport and Internet Access Services

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - TelCove, a leading provider of business critical telecommunications services to enterprise customers, carriers, and government organizations today announced a 3-year agreement with 1Vault Networks, a Fort Lauderdale based provider of dedicated servers, remote data center and co-location, and web hosting services. 1Vault will be upgrading their current high speed optically delivered TelCove transport service from 622 Mpbs to almost 4 Gbps during the agreement period.

The 1Vault data center is located in one of the largest hurricane proof commercial sites in South Florida. It is built to withstand a direct hit from a category 5 hurricane, and sits above the 100-year flood plain. Multiple backup generators and redundant battery power are also available in case of severe weather disruptions. State-of-the-art air conditioning and fire suppression systems are maintained at the facility.

For redundancy purposes, 1Vault's Internet access is provided by TelCove and other carriers. TelCove delivers its Internet access and data transport services to 1Vault over fully diverse, redundant fiber routes, eliminating any single point of failure. An additional 622 Megabit OC-12 circuit should be installed by TelCove within a month, and total TelCove transport services for 1Vault will grow to almost 4 Gigabits of bandwidth across the life of the agreement.
