Internap Taps IP Delivery Network Expert

Internap Network Services Corporation (www.internap.com), a provider of performance-based routing solutions over the Internet, today announced that Internap veteran, Eric Klinker, has been promoted to chief technology officer and vice president of engineering.

Mr. Klinker's responsibilities include leading the expansion of the Internap portfolio as well as driving the strategic direction for product planning, architecture and network operations. Before joining Internap in 2002, he was the chief technology officer and chief architect for netVmg, a pioneering and leading provider of intelligent route-control and bandwidth management products, which was acquired by Internap.

"As he is one of the few industry experts in Application Delivery Networks, Eric's record of innovation, combined with his advanced route management knowledge will be invaluable to evolving Internap's delivery and optimization of IP-based applications," said Gregory A. Peters, president and chief executive officer, Internap.

Mr. Klinker spent several years in applied research for the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
