SWsoft Launches Virtuozzo 2.6.2 Server Virtualization Upgrade

Today at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo (August 8-11, 2005 at the Moscone Center), SWsoft (www.sw-soft.com), an provider in server automation and virtualization software, announced the availability of Virtuozzo 2.6.2 for Linux.

The newest version of Virtuozzo for Linux includes physical to virtual migration (VZP2V), expanded Virtuozzo Control Center (VZCC) tools, expanded platform support and more. Virtuozzo for Linux 2.6.2 is unique in providing full support of both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

“We are excited to provide this new tool to help customers easily and accurately migrate servers from physical to virtual servers,” said Kurt Daniel, director of marketing, SWsoft.

Additional highlighted features included in the new version include Auto-Update Utility, Stateful Firewall Support, Broader Platform Support, and Virtuozzo PowerPanel (VZPP) enhancements.

Customers recently selecting Virtuozzo include Adaptive Instruments, AT-Link, Bertelsmann AG, Bull Technologies, Gilbane, HCT, Interdominios, SMS Central, TekTonic, WebCT and hundreds of other leading companies throughout the Americas, EMEA and Asia/Pacific.

Virtuozzo for Linux and Virtuozzo for Windows create multiple isolated virtual private servers (VPSs) on a single physical server enabling each VPS to perform and execute exactly like a standalone server.
