Cisco To Host Industry Discussion on Virtualization

Cisco Systems, Inc. is hosting a live Webcast discussion between industry and policy leaders, as well as the media, to examine the impact virtuality and technology innovation can have on all sectors of the U.S. economy and society.

Participants will highlight examples of how technology and the virtual world are transforming the way we work, live, play and learn. Cisco is also hosting a series of events to demonstrate virtualization through technology innovation including the first-ever virtual opening and closing of the NASDAQ Stock Market Site from Cisco's headquarters in San Jose, Calif.

Participants include industry CEOs and leaders who will share perspectives on the role of virtuality in infrastructure, healthcare, education and manufacturing industries, as well as operational benefits and productivity increases of virtuality, including:

• Bob Greifeld, president and CEO, The NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc.

The discussion will address the growing presence of virtuality in business and society; as well as how virtuality is changing the competitive landscape and what it means for key aspects of the economy. The group will also discuss the need for policy makers and leaders to foster innovation in general, as well as the implications on infrastructure investment and business models, productivity and growth. In addition, Cisco will also release key elements of the Cisco Innovation 2005 Study.

The industry leader discussion will be broadcast live via Webcast on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 9:30 a.m - 11:00 a.m PDT.
