Avnet Picks GeoTrust for Security Products

Avnet Partner Solutions, Americas (www.avnet.com), a value-added distributor of enterprise servers, storage, software and services, today announced an agreement with GeoTrust, a leader in next-generation identity verification and trust services for e-business, to distribute GeoTrust Power Server ID(TM) secure sockets layer (SSL) server certificates.

SSL certificates, which have traditionally been used to secure e-commerce, are increasingly being used to meet the security requirements of the enterprise server market. The addition of GeoTrust products will enable Avnet's partners to sell more robust security solutions that meet the needs of the enterprise market.

The certificate, which is compatible with all major server lines, will be available to Avnet's business partners in the United States and Canada via its Channel Connection portal (www.aps.avnet.com/ssl).
