Emic Networks (www.emicnetworks.com), a provider of application clustering solutions for open source, today announced that Principal Architect Emmanuel Cecchet will present at the ApacheCon Europe 2005 Conference, taking place at The Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart, Germany, July 18-22.

Cecchet will present a technical presentation demonstrating how to build an end-to-end, highly available application using Apache™ Derby and Clustered JDBC.  The session will feature a demonstration of C-JDBC’s administration tools using the xPetstore demo running with Tomcat.

Two different Apache Derby and C-JDBC configurations offering various application usages with associated performance, fault tolerance and availability tradeoffs will also be demonstrated.

Cecchet is the Principal Architect for Emic Java™ technologies and has extensive experience providing open source middleware for large-scale data servers. He contributed to the DynaServer project at Rice University, focusing on the design of scalable, high-performance and highly available e-business servers.
