Web Hosting Provider The Planet Names Scott Hyten as President

Dallas – The PlanetSM recently announced it has named Scott Hyten as president. Company founder, Peter Pathos, remains as Chairman.
 
Scott Hyten was previously CEO of Wild Brain Inc., a leading animation studio based in San Francisco. Under his direction, Wild Brain enjoyed a 300% increase in revenue and secured $30 million in investment financing.
 
“We are thrilled to have Scott on board for this crucial phase in The Planet’s growth,” said Pathos. “Scott is someone with experience in both the technology arena and capital financing, making him an ideal fit as The Planet continues to develop on-demand business solutions and expand into new markets.”

Scott Hyten began his career as a senior systems engineer for the Intergraph Corporation, where he developed cutting-edge computer graphic technologies. In 1988 he was one of the first 18 employees of Perot Systems. In 1992 he founded the outsourcing practice at The Continuum Company and following the company’s 1997 merger with Computer Sciences Corporation he served as Senior Vice President for CSC. In 1998, Hyten founded Interfase Capital Partners, a family of five venture capital funds focused on the entertainment and technology industries. He is a graduate of Harvard University.
 
Also joining The Planet in June are Bryan Lynn as vice president, product development and Jeremy Doupe, director, product development.
