SWsoft Unveils Plesk Expand 1.1 at HostingCon for Centralized Multi-Server Distributed Management

Chicago, IL — June 7, 2005 – Today at the first annual HostingCon 2005 event, SWsoft, the established leader in hosting automation and server virtualization software, announced the release of Plesk Expand 1.1.  The new version provides significant additional multi-server capabilities built on top of the popular Plesk for Linux/UNIX and Plesk for Windows control panels. Plesk Expand 1.1 offers the ability to set up and manage centralized distributed mail and DNS services, unified reseller accounts, maintain license repositories, leverage multi-lingual support, and many more powerful features.

Plesk Expand 1.1 now offers:

·  Centralized Mail – Hosting providers can now set up one or more dedicated mail servers for multiple Plesk servers and separate web hosting servers from mail servers. This enables increased scalability and enhanced management of the entire email infrastructure.

·  Centralized DNS – Administrators can configure one or more dedicated DNS servers for hosted Plesk servers with each Plesk server having one or more dedicated DNS servers assigned. Using dedicated DNS servers decreases loading on Plesk servers and provides system redundancy while Plesk end users are still able to edit DNS zones content.

·  Unified Reseller Accounts – Providers can create any number of resellers and delegate Plesk servers, clients and domains to reseller accounts. Each reseller has a separate login into Expand to manage all of their resources.

·  Centralized License Management – Provisioning of a master key to an unlimited number of Plesk servers. The centralized repository contains all licenses ever installed on Plesk servers registered in Expand and tracks license usage, history of installed licenses and much more.

·  Flexible Application Management – Expand gives hosting providers the ability to view applications installed on any Plesk server as well as a combined list of all applications installed on all Plesk servers. Additionally, applications can be added into the Client Application pool directly from the Expand interface.

Additional features include:

·  Group Management – Enhanced management of large numbers of Plesk servers using the new grouping feature in Expand.

·  Plesk Load Criteria – A range of load criteria are available for provisioning new clients and domains on less loaded servers in a group.

·  Improved IP Management – Exclusion of IP addresses from an existing IP pool by adding the ‘exclusion’ command.

· Plesk Inside VPS – IP management is fully supported for Plesk installed inside Virtuozzo.

· Domain User Permissions – Providers can set up permissions of domain users directly through the Expand interface.
