Quest Software Named MySQL Partner of the Year

At the MySQL Users Conference 2005, Quest Software, Inc. (www.quest.com), a provider of application, database and Windows management solutions, today announced that it has been named a MySQL Partner of the Year.

"Quest Software is a premier supporter of the MySQL Network database platform and its users," said Zack Urlocker, vice president of marketing for MySQL AB.

The announcement, made today during a keynote address by Marten Mickos, CEO of MySQL AB, underscores Quest Software's commitment to the MySQL Network community of users.

Quest Software also today announced the expansion of its partnership with MySQL as a charter member of the MySQL Network Certified Partner Program and revealed plans to certify five Quest Software products for use with MySQL Network databases.

"We are honored to be recognized by MySQL as Partner of the Year and to embrace the continued opportunity to serve the rapidly growing enterprise user base of MySQL Network," said Juli Ackerman, vice president, database management solutions, Quest Software.

As a MySQL Platinum Partner and a charter member of the MySQL Network Certified Partner Program, Quest Software will become one of the first vendors to certify database management solutions for MySQL Network databases.

Quest Software provides two user communities designed to support Quest solutions for MySQL, and help acclimate MySQL Network users to the platform.
The Toad for MySQL Network product community provides a forum in which users have open communication with Quest Software product managers and provide recommendations on product enhancements.

Additionally, with over 12,000 users, the Quest Pipelines are available to anyone seeking database development and administration information from experts on major database platforms.
