Infoblox Provides Network Identity Infrastructure

12:27:50 - 21 April 2005

Infoblox Inc. (www.infoblox.com), a provider of network identity infrastructure (NII) systems, today announced that it will deliver for the fifth consecutive NetWorld+Interop, the critical domain name resolution and IP address delivery services for the entire NetWorld+Interop eNet network, which will have approximately 10,000 nodes.

Additionally, Infoblox will deliver authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) services for the NetWorld+Interop eNet, which this year will include wireless and voice over IP (VoIP) applications.

Infoblox will deliver these services through its purpose-built, hardened network identity appliances, the Infoblox DNSone and the Infoblox RADIUSone, which are based on advanced, proprietary technologies and designed to deliver reliable, secure, high performance and easily manageable identity services for advanced IP networks and applications, like the NetWorld+Interop eNet.

"With so many exhibitors, media, conference team members, etc. relying on the NetWorld+Interop eNet for 24x7 network services and Internet access, providing highly reliable and secure network identity services is essential," said Richard Kagan, vice president of marketing at Infoblox.

More than 15 Infoblox network identity appliances will be deployed supporting show networks. Approximately four Infoblox DNSone appliances will be deployed in high-availability (HA) mode at the eNet network core to provide reliable and scalable internal and external domain name system (DNS) as well as dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) services for the entire eNet and the InteropNet Labs (iLabs) at NetWorld+Interop 2005, the world's only real-time live interoperability test bed for the latest networking technologies.

Three additional pairs of Infoblox DNSone appliances will be deployed in HA-mode within the eNet, essentially operating as "branch" implementations to deliver DNS and DHCP services close to the applications and network devices operating in the exhibitor and conference subnets (i.e. the press room).

"The eNet at NetWorld+Interop is a dream network built in collaboration with hand-selected networking vendors that put their products to the test of the ultimate networking challenge," said Lenny Heymann, NetWorld+Interop general manager.

Infoblox develops and markets network identity appliances that provide a scalable, secure way for enterprises to manage the critical network identity protocols—including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS and LDAP—that link business applications to the network infrastructure.
