Bladelogic CTO Vijay Manwani to Address Data Centres Europe Event

London, April 21 2005 - In what is becoming the largest international gathering of senior executives involved in data centre businesses,  Data Centres Europe taking place in London 28-29 April, have announced that Vijay Manwani, CTO of Bladelogic will keynote on day 2. (www.datacentreseurope.com).

BladeLogic has won much analyst acclaim for data centre automation. Blade servers have emerged as a less-expensive and space-saving option, although a recent survey by BroadGroup found that around 20% of data centres in Europe have so far adopted the technology.

The event, to be officially opened by Lord St John of Bletso, chairman of Globix, includes a series of industry keynotes. Alan Clarke, Vice President of Tyco Electronics will be discussing today's design challenges related to the cost of ownership of data centres. 

Henry Dunnenberger III, Senior Vice President at Corning Cable Systems will assess new structured wiring solutions that provide for the future growth of data centres, and support the rapid pace of change they now confront.

Nicola Hayes, vice president of BroadGroup will be providing highlights of a recent four-month research project conducted by the consultancy assessing the current data centre market in Europe.

Tim Anker of the Colocation Exchange will discuss pricing following which a panel comprising of Matthew Gingell, Marketing Director, TeleCity, Mike Tobin, CEO, Redbus Interhouse, Ray Walsh, CEO, ViaNET.WORKS/PSINet Europe, Andrew Jay, Director, CB Richard Ellis and Ashley Atkins, Director European Infrastructure, Level 3 will tackle how the data centre market can now move forward. Panel Chair is Joia Shillingford, contributor to the Financial Times.

Other key speakers include Paul David, Managing Director, COLT, Nat Kausik, CEO, Fineground, Dave Tabors, General Partner, Battery Ventures, Michael Shea, Managing Director, Shea Strategic Advisory, Mark Edge, Vice President EMEA, NetScaler, Tony Neate, Industry Liaison, National High Tech Crime Unit, John Warnants, Director, Egenera, Peter Hannaford, APC EMEA, Steve Harris, Bill Dunster Architects and BT.

Tim Mellors, Chairman, Colocation & Hosting Association will chair a workshop, Criminal and Civil liability for data centres, presented by Alexander Brown, Simmons & Simmons and Darrell Panethiere, former Vice President, Warner Music International.
