Covad Gets Award from Cisco for Innovation

13:12:35 - 18 April 2005

Covad Communications (www.covad.com) announced today that it received an award during The Cisco Partner Summit 2005 recognizing Covad as the Service Provider Innovation winner for 2004.

"Our Service Provider partners are critical to our success," said Nigel Williams, vice president of WW SP Channels, Cisco Systems.
"At the 2005 Cisco Partner Summit, I had the privilege of recognizing Covad for the innovative work they've done in the areas of partnering with Cisco and creating new managed services in 2004. I would like to congratulate the entire Covad team on an award-winning year."

The award for 2004 Service Provider Innovation was based on a number of factors, including: creating scalable best practices; the delivery of new, creative services to the market that differentiate both Cisco and the partner, and building a partnership with Cisco that is in synch with Cisco's overall channel strategy.

"Covad is pleased to receive this award from Cisco. Working together, we have launched unique marketing campaigns for Covad VoIP, our business-class hosted voice service," said Debbie Jo Severin, vice president of marketing for Covad.

Covad is a leading nationwide provider of broadband voice and data communications. The company offers DSL, Voice over IP, T1, Web hosting, managed security, IP and dial-up, and bundled voice and data services directly through Covad's network and through Internet Service Providers, value-added resellers, telecommunications carriers and affinity groups to small and medium-sized businesses and home users.

Covad broadband services are currently available across the nation in 44 states and 235 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) and can be purchased by more than 57 million homes and businesses, which represent over 50 percent of all US homes and businesses.
