C I Host Kicks Off Summer Concert Series

Lizard Lounge in Dallas, 2424 Swiss Avenue.

Oakenfold is the DJ, remixer, and producer who did more than anyone else to break house music in Britain during the late '80s. Major labels contracted Oakenfold to remix their biggest pop stars including U2, Simply Red, New Order, the Cure and even Snoop Doggy Dogg.

By the mid-'90s, Oakenfold toured with U2 and supported live gigs by INXS, the Orb, Simply Red, Boy George and Primal Scream. On Britain's ever-growing club circuit, he inaugurated the London super-club Ministry of Sound early in the 1990s and became a resident at Britain's other super-club, Liverpool's Cream.

The April 2 DJ lineup, beginning at 9 p.m., includes: Liquid Todd, Kid Icarus, Willie Trimmer (a former C I Host team member), Snowhite, Phooka + Mc Astro and Jeremy B., with Oakenfold on stage at approximately 12:30 a.m.
