Internet Security Systems Achieves SCP Certification

15:15:41 - 23 March 2005

Internet Security Systems, Inc. (www.scpcertification.com) today achieved the distinction of being the first enterprise security company to achieve Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification for its worldwide support center at all support levels.

The SCP Certification program quantifies the effectiveness of customer support based upon a stringent set of performance standards and represents best practices in the customer support industry.

The SCP program is guided by a body of sponsoring companies and is managed by Service Strategies Corporation. The criteria sections defined within the SCP Certification program represent the broad scope of business practices necessary to deliver top-quality support and are based on more than 100 discrete business elements of compliance.

"Internet Security Systems is committed to delivering the highest level of service to its customers, streamlining their technology experience and helping them to easily integrate security within their existing business infrastructure," said Sally Foster, vice president of worldwide customer support at ISS.

In a study titled "U.S. Security Software Support Services 2004-2008 Forecast and Analysis: Competitive Analysis 2004,"  IDC research states that success for security software providers will come from three main criteria: proactively providing support to customers, offering customized support and building supportability into products.  ISS has achieved and surpassed all three of these elements by achieving the SCP certification for its Worldwide Support Center in Atlanta.
