Abcam Selects Redbus for Web Hosting Colocation

Redbus Interhouse, a colocation and managed services provider today announces that Abcam Ltd., an innovative supplier of over 13,000 antibodies for companies worldwide, has signed up for colocation and business continuity services.

Abcam is the brainchild of Jonathan Milner who developed the idea through frustration at the lack of resource in finding suitable antibodies for his Post-Doctoral work at Cambridge University.

Reliant totally on a web-based model it has been important, as the business has grown at more than 100% year on year for the past four years to a turnover of £7 million last year, to have access to the highest level of performance and reliability for its computer equipment, services and support.

In reviewing the market for a colocation partner Abcam selected Redbus Interhouse to house its core business systems including web and database servers and redundant firewalls connected via a 6Mbps IP provision to the Level 3 network.
