Digital River Enhances SoftwarePassport Technology

Digital River, Inc. (www.digitalriver.com), a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced new enhancements to its SoftwarePassport™ technology.

"Our SoftwarePassport technology continues to provide our software publishing clients an important tool for not only protecting, but also marketing, selling, distributing and tracking their digital assets across untapped, global online markets," said Joel Ronning, Digital River 's CEO.

Through recent development efforts, Digital River has extended SoftwarePassport's digital revenue management capabilities to accommodate a wider range of software delivery options, business models and software applications, as well as offer more merchandising, marketing and international support.

To meet the needs of Digital River 's growing publisher base, the newly enhanced version of SoftwarePassport supports a wider range of software delivery options and economic business models.

In addition, Digital River plans to provide added protection for an even broader range of software products by expanding SoftwarePassport's support from 32 to 64 bit applications.

SoftwarePassport's 64 bit support will offer the same full feature capabilities as its 32 bit version. The 64 bit version is scheduled for release during the spring of 2005.
