SKYLISTJoins Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG)

SKYLIST (www.skylist.com), an email deliverability leader and top-ranked email service provider, today announced the company has joined the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (www.maawg.org) as a supporting member.

SKYLIST, who holds key positions in leading industry organizations such as the Email Service Provider Coalition, joined MAAWG to contribute an email sender perspective, CAN-SPAM compliance savvy and business acumens to MAAWG's mission to successfully address forms of messaging abuse such as spam, virus attacks, denial-of service and other forms of abuse. SKYLIST is the first email service provider to join MAAWG.

In related news, Joshua Baer, CEO of SKYLIST and Co-chair of the Email Service Provider Coalition's Technology Committee, will participate in a panel entitled "Are the Regulation and Enforcement Agencies Helping or Impeding?" at MAAWG's Third General Meeting in San Diego, California, taking place March 1-3 2005.

Baer was selected to participate in this panel discussion based on his extensive knowledge of anti-spam technology, emerging email authentication technologies and compliance with federal legislation.

Baer will be joined on the panel by Luc Mathan of France Telecom and Suzane Morine of Bell Canada with Dale Malik of BellSouth serving as moderator.

The panel will discuss public policy, MAAWG mission, gaps in current legislation and focus, scope of legislation vs. public and carrier concerns, and examples of legislative approaches worldwide.
