Leading Anti Spam Vendor Provides Free Filter

15:00:28 - 28 February 2005

Free EMP™ 5.5 Anti-spam Filter will be given to purchasers of J.A. Korsmeyer's (www.jak.com) original software product, POP3 Gateway™.

The first 100 purchasers of the original POP3 Gateway who respond to the Free EMP promotion, will be given the current version of Extensible Messaging Platform (EMP 5.5) at zero cost. The promotion is scheduled to end March 31st 2005. To participate, please visit http://www.jak.com/spam-filter/freeEMP.htm.

EMP licenses range in cost from approximately $900 for 50 users to over $100,000 for large installations. The company states that there is no limit on the license size when redeeming this offer. This bold move is meant as a thank-you for having contributed to the success of J.A. Korsmeyer during its early years, by providing a zero cost solution to an epidemic problem.

During the years 1997-1999, J.A. Korsmeyer became well known for its popular POP3 Gateway POP retrieval product. POP3 Gateway™ permitted the deployment of Microsoft Exchange Server without the requisite dedicated Internet connection and static IP address. As a result, many small organizations were able to deploy Exchange Server within their environments.

In 2000, J.A. Korsmeyer released Extensible Messaging Platform (EMP), which included the POP3 retrieval functionality of POP3 Gateway, but also included powerful pattern-based anti-spam filtering and dedicated SMTP operation.

Since the initial EMP release, EMP has continued to evolve and has become one of the leading server based anti-spam solutions available.
EMP is endorsed by tier-one mail server vendors; Microsoft, IBM/Lotus and Novell. It is operating system independent and deployed around the world, protecting a diverse array of mail server products, including Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise and UNIX Sendmail.
