Web Hosting Provider Hostopia Unveils All-New Plans for 2005

07:03:24 - 14 February 2005

Enhanced Suite of Wholesale Services Helps ISPs Compete in SME Hosting

February 14, 2005, Fort Lauderdale, USA - Today Hostopia announced several new applications and enhancements across its broad range of private labeled wholesale web hosting and managed email services. Sequential launch dates throughout the first quarter will automatically distribute all enhancements to Hostopia's base of 280 private label partners via its ASP-distribution model.

Service providers who offer hosting and email services to their small business customers will become far more competitive with the Hostopia platform, asserts Franc Nemanic, Hostopia's president. Our ASP-distribution model allows us to instantly deploy all of these new applications and enhancements across our entire user base of 280 partners, who in turn serve over 150,000 hosted sites, 500,000 domains and over 1.5 million email accounts.

Hostopia's new plans will offer a 500% increase in disk storage and a doubling of email storage effective February 1. New wholesale price points are being introduced that will offer advanced Windows services such as ASP.net in a lower cost hosting plan that can be competitively retailed at $19.99 per month with strong margins to the Hostopia partner. All-new applications will be bundled across the majority of Hostopia wholesale plans commencing February. 1,000 fully developed web site templates will allow any small business or web developer to instantly create or modify specialized business sites organized by vertical industry. The templates will function with any site building tool such as Front Page or Macromedia's Dreamweaver. Also launching in February is a EasyLiveChat, a turnkey business chat application for small business that allows any web site owner to instantly implement online chat agents in their company to better serve or sell to customers and prospects via their website

Rick Petersen, CEO of Peak Internet, one of Hostopia's newest partners comments, "We built a very successful web hosting and business email service over the years, but the competitive pace to constantly upgrade our offering is intense and demands capital. Hostopia's private label offering and constant feature improvement program showed us that we could deliver highly profitable services to our customers that automatically benefit every one of our end users instantly. Hostopia's new plans for 2005 are available to us at a fraction of the effort and cost it would have required to develop them ourselves."

Nemanic adds, "Web hosting has recently experienced severe commoditization in the marketplace as disk space and bandwidth is literally given away by most providers. Hostopia's strategy is to equip our partners with adequate disk space but also to bundle value added services such as ASP, chat and site templates to maintain revenue, margins and customer satisfaction."
