Web Hosting Firm Affinity Launches Second SMBs Program

15:13:40 - 11 February 2005

Affinity Internet (www.Affinity.com), a web services provider for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced the launch of its second annual Making a Difference program. The program rewards Affinity customers who use their web sites in innovative ways for charity, education or business.

Between now and March 10, Affinity will accept nominations in each of four categories, with one winner and one honorable mention chosen for each category.

Cash prizes of $10,000 for the best charity site, $5,000 for the best teaching/educational site and $5,000 for the best small business site ($2,500 for services; $2,500 for products) will be awarded to the winners, with each honorable mention winner receiving one free year of web hosting, provided by Affinity.

"The Making a Difference program allows Affinity to take a step back and recognize SMBs that are using the Internet in new and innovative ways," said Peter Chambers, CEO of Affinity Internet.

Guidelines for entries include a 500 word essay and a survey expanding on how the entrant has used their web site to enrich the lives of others or improve the way business is conducted. To be eligible, applicants must be a customer of any of Affinity's brands for one year or longer.

Winners will be announced the week of March 21 on www.wemakeadifference.org.
