CM4all WebsiteCreator enhancement: Content modules for automatic Web content

08:50:36 - 20 January 2005

CM4all WebsiteCreator, the popular online home page construction kit from CM-AG, has been enhanced with a module for integrating professional Web content. Users of the award-winning system can now integrate the latest news and applications from third-part

Cologne, January 20, 2005 - (HostReview) - CM-AG has added yet another tool to its CM4all WebsiteCreator: The Content Syndication module enables simple integration of external content modules - for various subjects and themes - in private and commercial Web sites.

"If you operate a professional home page today, you need to give your visitors regularly updated content," says Cornel Schnietz, Chief Technology Officer at CM-AG, "but most people lack the time and know-how to do so. To solve this problem, CM4all WebsiteCreator users can now integrate content and applications from various providers in their Web sites at the touch of a button: sports, automotive, weather and industry news, the latest market and financial data,
dictionaries, and even online games. Each time the published Web site is called, the latest content from the selected subject area is displayed automatically. The content is displayed in the selected Web site layout, of course, making
it indistinguishable from the native site content."

The content syndication module has been implemented compliant with all current versions of the RSS standard, as well as a configurable interface for other XML-based formats. As a result, content and applications from any external content
provider can be integrated in the CM4all WebsiteCreator design templates, as long as they support a standardized interface.

CM4all WebsiteCreator is a browser-based online service that is marketed by leading ISPs and hosting providers throughout Europe, the U.S., Canada, and South America, which can currently license the new CM-AG module free of charge for
their more than a million customers. Each provider can choose which content channels he or she wants to integrate in CM4all WebsiteCreator.

The first provider to deploy the new Content Syndication module with CM4all WebsiteCreator is 1&1 Internet AG, which began offering its customers a total of 25 different theme channels for integration in their Web sites at the start of 2005.
