Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (www.terremark.com) today announced that Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH) has signed a contract for Internet connectivity and collocation services at the NAP of the Americas.

Terremark will provide JMH with a package of Internet access and managed router services, which includes dual high-speed connections into the NAP's exchange point platform, secure and redundant collocation space and power, and access to the NAP's multi-carrier Internet routing service.

Founded in 1918, Jackson Memorial Hospital is considered one of America's finest medical facilities. JMH is an accredited, non-profit, tertiary care hospital and the major teaching facility for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

"As Federal HIPPA requirements continue to drive very strict standards over the privacy of medical record keeping, Terremark's highly secure and connected facilities provide the ideal platform to meet the demands of the health care sector," said Manuel D. Medina, Chairman and CEO of Terremark Worldwide Inc. "We are proud to have Jackson represent our first step into the health care sector."

Terremark Worldwide Inc. is a leading operator of integrated Tier-1 Internet exchanges and best-in-class network services, creating technology marketplaces in strategic global locations.

Terremark is the owner and operator of the NAP of the Americas, the 5th Tier-1 Network Access Point in the world and the model for the carrier-neutral TerreNAP(sm) Data Centers the company has in Santa Clara, California (NAP of the Americas/West), in Sao Paulo, Brazil (NAP do Brasil) and in Madrid, Spain (NAP de las Americas - Madrid).
