Inkra Networks, a provider of virtualized networking and security infrastructure, today announced the Inkra JumpStart program, a marketing and sales support program designed specifically to help service providers capitalize on the growing demand for utility based managed services.

According to IDC, the adoption of utility computing services is growing rapidly and will result in a $6.9 billion market by 2007. IT utility services based on virtualized networking infrastructure provides several key benefits to service providers, including drastically lower infrastructure and operational costs, accelerated revenue recognition and significantly higher margins and ROI.

Inkra's JumpStart is a comprehensive value-added program available to service providers purchasing Inkra's virtualized services platform.
The program enables service providers to accelerate the service creation and launch lifecycle with a complete set of tools that include: Market analysis and data to identify and size target markets; Reference descriptions to help define and price new managed services and strategically position them in existing services portfolios and others.

The JumpStart program is evidence of Inkra's strong commitment to partnering with service provider customers to reduce time-to-market for new services, accelerate market acceptance, and rapidly generate revenues from those services.

"The growing utility-based managed services market represents a huge opportunity for service providers worldwide," said Joydip Das, Director of Product Marketing at Inkra Networks.

Inkra's Virtual Service Switches (VSS) have played a key role in the emergence of outsourced managed services by providing service providers with virtualized networking and security services, such as firewalls, Virtual Private Networking (VPN), Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP), load balancing, and more.
