Global Agreement Expands Backup Products Line

Exabyte Corporation (www.exabyte.com) announced that it has signed a new global sales and distribution agreement with Apple Computer that expands the availability of Exabyte tape backup storage across Apple's global sales and channel network.

"Exabyte has a long-standing commitment to serving the data-intensive storage needs of Apple users by offering powerful, plug-and-play tape storage solutions that feature FireWire and Fibre Channel connectivity," said Tom Ward, president and CEO of Exabyte.

Through this agreement, Apple's international sales and distribution network will market Exabyte's products worldwide as the recommended brand of tape storage solutions for Apple customers, particularly its' popular Xserve platform.

Exabyte's tape storage solutions for Apple users include cost-effective standalone tape drives featuring FireWire -- an ideal fit for professionals who use their Mac desktop or laptop for data-intensive applications.
