EV1Servers Deploys UnityOne Intrusion Prevention System

EV1Servers announces its' deployment of TippingPoint's UnityOne Intrusion Prevention System, which provides state-of-the-art network protection at gigabit speeds through total packet inspection.

"Our network is home to over one million websites," says Randy Williams, EV1Servers' CTO. "The security of our network affects each of these users' ability to do business online."

UnityOne features TippingPoint's Threat Suppression Engine, an ASIC-based hardware platform that utilizes a 20 Gbps backplane and high-performance network processors to perform packet flow inspection at Layers 2-7.

EV1Servers expects implementation of UnityOne to be completed no later than December 31, 2004. "Thanks to our customers' support, we've been able to achieve our sixth year of substantial growth and profitability," says Robert Marsh, EV1Servers Head Surfer and CEO.

Houston-based EV1Servers operates two telco-grade data centers with over 100,000 square feet of web hosting space. The company manages over 20,000 Windows and Linux dedicated servers that power over one million websites.
