CornerPost Launches Internet Filtering for Microsoft ISA Server 2004

14:09:17 - 20 December 2004

CornerPost Software (www.cornerpost.net) introduced Chaperon Internet filtering for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server, to provide schools, governments, and businesses with Internet safety and insight into their network activity through their patented Internet filtering technology.

"We have been building products for the Microsoft ISA Server platform for several years," said Ryan Elswick, Marketing Director of CornerPost Software. "Unmonitored Internet use carries a serious danger, and the combination of Chaperon and ISA 2004 provides customers with the latest in advanced Internet filtering and content management while extending the benefits of ISA Server."

ISA Server 2004, now available, is an advanced application layer firewall, virtual private network (VPN) and Web cache solution enabling customers to easily maximize existing IT investments by improving network security and performance.

There are new features like remote management, faster unblocking, and database-free user monitoring that complement Chaperon's traditional features such as the patented Agility Filter, patented notification and tight integration with Active Directory. Filter updates can be scheduled as desired, and they default to an interval of 2 hours.

C2k4 supports the advanced capabilities of ISA 2004, and is the latest addition to a growing family of Internet filtering and management products created by CornerPost.

All Chaperons have the ability to filter websites by category, send notifications when users attempt to find or access inappropriate or blocked sites, and automatically lock out users violating access rules.

Blocked pages can also be personalized to display an Internet use policy or organization's logo. Chaperon's filter is constantly maintained, and all sites are added only after human review. Sites are submitted for review by advanced automated software and customer submissions.
