13:58:43 - 02 December 2004

Seybold Seminars (www.Seybold365.com), Publications and Consulting, a division of MediaLive International, Inc., announced the results of the third annual Seybold PDF usage study, which reflect the pulse of the content creation and publishing industry.

To address the ongoing role of PDF use in the corporate enterprise and among traditional publishers, The Seybold Report surveyed over 1,900 graphics and design professionals, asking PDF users to assess PDFs on several dimensions, including utility in the workplace, the frequency of problems, and the format's advantages and disadvantages.

Whether the final production is print-based or digital, the 35-question survey focuses on understanding specific workgroups' involvement with PDFs in today's print industry. The survey captures information about PDF, creation, manipulation, and workflow processes.

New Diligence, the research vendor hosting the survey and providing data analysis, has fielded the study http://www.seybold365.com to readers of The Seybold Report and attendees of Seybold Seminars.
