National Bank of Arkansas Picks NSO

12:58:26 - 16 November 2004

Source One (www.nationalsourceone.com), a provider of branch automation solutions for community banks, announced today that National Bank of Arkansas (NBA), an eight-branch community bank based in Little Rock, Ark., has selected NSO's account origination software GoldDeposits™, a part of NSO's "Gold" product suite.

NBA, currently a user of other NSO branch automation solutions, chose GoldDeposits to ensure accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance when opening new deposit accounts. As a progressive community financial institution, NBA wanted a solution that would improve productivity.

"As our bank looked to move away from manual processes and maximize current technology, we sought a solution that would boost productivity and facilitate growth," said Steve Arendt, executive vice president and chief financial officer of NBA. "The cross-selling features, as well as the speed and efficiency of GoldDeposits were a fit. The product streamlines account origination for both our employees and our new customers."

GoldDeposits interfaces directly with NBA's host system, seamlessly adding new accounts and eliminating duplications. NBA can configure the software to support deposit products, such as checking, savings, IRAs and CDs, along with their applicable rates and qualifications. Product summaries and presentations provide additional cross-selling opportunities.

"GoldDeposits significantly increases a bank's account opening speed, simplifying the process on both sides of the counter," said Rick Kramer, chief operating officer at NSO. "The software guides the staff through the customer interview process to ensure all pertinent data is gathered and entered into the system. NSO continues to develop products specifically to meet the community banking industry's needs."
