Web Host Qwest Launches Business Remote Access Services

Qwest Communications International Inc. (www.qwest.com) announced that traveling business professionals have advanced options for secure access to their corporate networks with Qwest Remote Access™.

Mobile employees can now connect to their corporate virtual private network (VPN) with a single click, using a range of connectivity options such as Qwest's global dial network, high-speed broadband and new wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi).

Qwest Remote Access also offers a new single-step client software and management portal allowing customers to govern which users may access their network.

With the easy-to-use management portal, customers can easily enforce user access rights in real-time and ensure that remote employees have the latest anti-virus software or personal firewall applications in place.

"Customers today must accommodate a global traveling and remote workforce, where business is often conducted in venues such as airports, hotels or even coffee shops," said Eric Bozich, vice president of national services for Qwest.

Remote Access saves customers' resources by providing a cost-effective solution, offering centralized accounting, reporting, and trouble-shooting features to identify trends, control expenses, and improve end-user performance.
