Athenet Picks Nuvio for VoIP

Nuvio Corporation (www.nuvio.com), a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), today announced that Athenet has selected the company's "Powered by Nuvio" partner program to provide private-label VoIP service to its customer base. With 20,000 customers, Athenet is the largest independent Internet solutions company in Wisconsin.

"Nuvio is the premier VoIP service provider positioned to the wholesale channel," commented Mark Lemmert, CEO of Athenet. "With Nuvio, we are adding new, exciting capabilities to our already robust offering from our enterprise data center in Appleton, WI. This VoIP service is a perfect complement to our other services that include connectivity, help desk and Web hosting."

In the partner program, Athenet chose Nuvio's Custom Bill for Voice targeted to consumers and the Total Package for IP Centrex specialized for small businesses.

Nuvio's Total Package includes designing a branded Web site, private-label billing, referrals coordination and technology support. This competitive partner program allows for ISPs to profit from a new stream of business, without having to incur the cost and delay of building and maintaining their own VoIP network. Athenet's VoIP service is scheduled to go live in November.
