GameNET Comes to The 2005 National Show

14:23:02 - 02 November 2004

NCTA announced today that The 2005 National Show will host the GameNET 2005 Conference and Exhibition.

Momentum is growing for a broader and more varied national convention based on recent developments leading up to The 2005 National Show, the 54th Annual Convention & International Exposition of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (www.thenationalshow.com), April 3-5, 2005, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

"The National Show is designed to highlight the latest trends and technologies of interest to the cable industry, so GameNET is a perfect fit," said Barbara York, Senior Vice President, Industry Affairs and Chief Administrative Officer, NCTA.

Hosting GameNET acknowledges the growing importance of subscription based video games as a broadband application that's growing in demand among cable subscribers and which offers business growth to cable operators.

GameNET at the Show will join the CableNET® pavilion from CableLabs and other displays highlighting major technology and growth applications for the cable and telecommunications industry.

Produced by Shorecliff Communications, a leading broadband and wireless communications media company, GameNET is designed to bring together broadband carriers, game publishers and infrastructure solution providers to explore the business case, technology platforms and pricing models for the next generation of broadband delivery of interactive gaming content.

NCTA also said today that more than 151,000 square feet of exhibit space already has been assigned to exhibiting companies. The square footage assigned to date is approaching the total amount of exhibition space at The 2004 National Show this past spring in New Orleans, which was 167,000 square feet.
