Web Hosting Company Internet America Names David W. Hanna Chairman

Internet America Inc., a leading Internet service provider, today announced the election of David Hanna to the Board of Directors.

"We are very pleased to announce that David Hanna has been elected to Internet America's Board of Directors," said Billy Ladin, Internet America's CEO.

Hanna is a veteran technology entrepreneur who has successfully started and led several technology companies in the wireless, software, computer and other related fields, was also elected to be Chairman of the Board, replacing Billy Ladin, who will continue as Chief Executive Officer.
Hanna as the chairman adds significant depth to the management team and the Internet America Board.

"Internet America is uniquely positioned to address the burgeoning rural and metro scale broadband sectors," said Hanna.

After beginning his career at IBM, where he managed more than 7,000 people and held three Vice President positions, Hanna went on to become CEO of 9 high-technology companies: Grid Systems, Altos, State of the Art, Versatec, NetFRAME, Emulex Systems, Ventura Software, and Blue Coat Systems (formerly CacheFlow) and Tropos Networks.

Internet America is an Internet service provider primarily serving the Texas market. Based in Dallas, Internet America offers businesses and individuals a full range of Internet services, including dedicated high-speed DSL access, dial-up access, Web hosting and self-managed server options.
