00:00:00 - 20 October 2004

US LEC Corp. (www.uslec.com) introduced data center colocation to accommodate the increasing bandwidth and high-availability demands of its customers.

US LEC's customers can now locate their servers in one of two carrier-grade data centers in Pennsylvania, where US LEC provides secure and fully managed facilities along with generator backup and environmental controls.

"US LEC's data center colocation provides solutions for businesses that need reliable and cost effective ways to increase their bandwidth while ensuring that their equipment is protected in a fully-powered and secure location," said Jeff Blackey, senior vice president of marketing and business development for US LEC.

Local customers have controlled, direct access to their equipment, while outlying customers may either utilize the US LEC data team for management services or choose to remotely manage their equipment themselves.

"US LEC has greatly enhanced the value proposition of Falcon Technologies," said Jordan Nadel, president for Falcon Technologies in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He chose to colocate all his production equipment in US LEC's secure data center facilities. "

US LEC differentiates its data center colocation product by operating these data centers with an onsite engineering staff and by offering a full range of access and support services. US LEC offers Internet access options ranging from 64 Kb to 1 Gbs, and provides a comprehensive, industry-leading Service Level Agreement (SLA).
