European ISPs Launches Internet Content Filtering Solution

00:00:00 - 20 October 2004

PureSight, Inc. (www.puresight.com), developers of the next generation Internet Content Filtering solution, today announced that nearly 5 million Internet subscribers across Europe now enjoy access to the newest version of PureSight PC -- version 3.1-- via their ISPs.

PureSight PC is rapidly becoming the Parental Control solution of choice for ISPs across Western Europe. It is the only solution which uses dynamic content filtering to categorize web sites on the fly and one of the few solutions that does not rely on static URL black lists, commonly used by other filtering solutions.

Major deployments of the new version include the German ISPs 1&1 and GMX, the French ISP Noos, VTX in Switzerland and TeliaSonera in Finland. In addition, PureSight PC v. 3.1 has just been integrated into F-Secure Corporation's "Security as a Service™" suite.

"We were seeking a leading solution that would not only handle today's problematic web content - but also anything that might show up tomorrow as well, " said 1&1's CEO Andreas Gauger.

The new version delivers a completely new look and feel for the product with an updated User Interface that significantly enhances the user's ability to manage and use PureSight PC. Most notably, the PureSight administrator (the individual managing the household's Internet access), can now manage different filtering policies and access schedules for a number of users. Therefore, each household member will be provided with the exact Internet access that they need.

With the release of PureSight PC v. 3.1 PureSight, Inc. has proven that it truly is the only content filtering vendor that is dedicated to providing the right solution to the ISP. The company offers different models designed to meet specific technical and business requirements such as the ISP's network infrastructure, type of subscribers, and availability of resources.
