DataCenter Technologies Teams with Atempo for PC Client Protection

DataCenter Technologies, Inc. (www.datacentertechnologies.com) an innovator in managing fixed data and Atempo Inc, announced that they have entered into a global OEM relationship to deliver PC client protection to Atempo's fast-growing customer base.

"With the announcement of Atempo PC Protect, Atempo continues to expand its product suite to deliver best of breed capabilities to the ILM/DLM market. Atempo evaluated a large number of client protection products that could complement Time Navigator, our award winning data protection software," said François Gauthier, Atempo's chief technology officer.

Under this OEM agreement, Atempo will license modules from DCT's DC-Protect software to provide PC client protection as part of Atempo's rich product portfolio.

Atempo PC Protect is part of a series of new products that strengthen Atempo's position as a leader in information lifecycle management (ILM) strategies for data protection. Atempo PC Protect will provide unique content-based technology to enable simultaneous backup of large numbers of desktops and notebooks with minimal network bandwidth and back-end storage.

Peter Shambora added, "Our innovations in content addressable storage technology enable users to backup thousands of PC's and servers with minimal network and secondary storage requirements.
