Alaskan Woman Sells Her Skin to Web Hosting Provider Globat.com

01:58:33 - 18 August 2006

Web hosting provider Globat.com announced the next generation of tattoo sponsorships. An Alaskan woman, Ramona Dilmore, who wishes to use the proceeds of the sponsorship on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy with her children, sold her skin to Globat.com. In return, Globat.com will allow visitors to DefyingGravity.com to vote on the actual location of the permanent tattoo, which has been narrowed down to the cheek, chest, forehead, and neck.

The voting is open to the public at DefyingGravity.com from now until September 1, 2006. Once voting is closed, the location of the tattoo will be announced and shortly after, Ramona Dilmore will be receiving the tattoo. Photographs and video coverage will also be available on DefyingGravity.com shortly thereafter.

"This is our third tattoo event in the DefyingGravity.com promotional campaign," said Ben R. Neumann, CEO of Globat.com. "The idea is still as exciting as with the first, and the people involved always become great friends of ours. The twist this time is that we're allowing the many fans of our promotions to have some input on where the tattoo goes. If they're feeling generous, the tattoo might end up on the chest, but you never know - our logo could end up on Mrs. Dilmore's forehead!"

Attracting media attention worldwide, Globat.com has recently launched a wave of very unique sponsorships and events such as a sponsored birth, and a tattooed human billboard under the banner of "Defying Gravity," with the ultimate goal to launch at least one such special event in each of the 50 states. Information about Globat.com and the company's services and Web hosting packages starting at only $6.95 is available at their Web site or by calling 877-2-GLOBAT.
