According to various sources, GoDaddy (www.godaddy.com), an ICANN Registrar, has reportedly purchased an ad spot in the upcoming Super Bowl Season which kicks off in Jacksonville, Florida at the AllTel Stadium on 6th February 2005.

This 30 second advertisement which will feature on Fox Television will be aired among other regular advertisers like Anheuser-Busch, Pepsi, and Visa, and is expected to be watched by more than 95 million viewers.

In an online interview with ClickZ.com, CEO Bob Parsons said that the main reason for advertising in the Super Bowl was to increase the company awareness. The company will have follow-up campaigns that spends that touch upto a million a month, mostly in TV, radio and print.

On being asked why GoDaddy chose the SuperBowl Spot, CEO Bob Parsons said, "Why not? Look, the reason is this: Our advertising has pretty much all been online. Right now, we get five million visitors a month to our sites. Forty-seven percent are driven there by online advertising; the rest are referrals.

"Sources reported that GoDaddy is not the only .COM company to step into the upcoming Super Bowl. CareerBuilder.com, an employment site which claims to have more jobs in its database than Monster.com, has also purchased a 30-second spot on Fox Television.
