KEMP's load balancers chosen for ease-of-use and superior functionality

Yaphank, N.Y. – August 11, 2008KEMP Technologies, a leading provider of affordable application delivery controllers and server load balancers, today announced BlackMesh, a provider of information technology solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, as the latest managed hosting provider under its VARMaster Partner Program.

BlackMesh offers managed hosting services to businesses that want to avoid the burden of running and supporting their applications on the Internet 24/7. BlackMesh manages all aspects of the network, hardware and operating systems. Its customers’ applications typically need http or https load balancing with persistent connections to ensure transactions are efficiently completed. They also require flexible scalability as they grow, and high-availability to ensure their sites are always up and running.

“When looking for a new load balancer supplier to replace our outdated load balancers, we conducted an extensive search for the highest rated vendors that fit our needs,” said Jason Ford, CTO of BlackMesh. “After several reviews, we choose KEMP technologies for their ability to meet our technological demands in a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution.”

KEMP load balancers enable BlackMesh to create cost-effective managed hosting solutions for its small and mid-sized customers.  In addition, due to the scalability and affordable cost that KEMP’s products provide, BlackMesh is able to close larger customer engagements at lower price points than its competitors.

There were two key components that BlackMesh required in a load balancer solution – an easy and intuitive administration interface, and an affordable cost. “Kemp’s LoadMaster administration interface makes it an easy product to configure and maintain,” says Jason Ford. “With its simple-to-use web interface there is no need to learn a command-line or cryptic menu system. We also found the LoadMaster SSL acceleration to be a very nice built-in feature for our customers that grow beyond the power of their servers to handle SSL-based traffic loads.”

Today, BlackMesh’s ability to use the LoadMaster’s web-based administration has made support requests easier to fulfill. The company no longer has to train its engineers on cryptic command-line options to get the traffic flowing where it needs to go. Also, using KEMP’s LoadMaster delivers the same performance, and provides the features and functionality as the higher priced load balancer vendors offer.

“BlackMesh is delivering high-quality managed hosting services to small and mid-sized businesses, which is a perfect fit for us,” said Kevin Mahon CEO and founder of KEMP Technologies. “During the past year they have discovered new business opportunities, expanded their customer base, and have done a great job of selling our products.”

The KEMP product family currently includes four models. The LoadMaster 1500, LoadMaster 2500, LoadMaster 3500 and LoadMaster 5500.
